Hundreds of millions of people speak languages that mainstream speech AI has never heard of. We're building the tools to change that — starting with the languages of Northeast India.
Instaword builds production-quality ASR, translation, and voice tools for languages like Mizo, Khasi, and Garo. When a language disappears from the digital world — from voice assistants, keyboards, and AI tools — it begins to disappear from daily life. We're building the technology infrastructure that keeps these languages alive, useful, and passed on.
Our Mizo ASR achieves 7.3% word error rate — comparable to what major providers achieve on languages with thousands of hours of training data. We're building a common speech AI pipeline and infrastructure that scales across every language we support, today and in the future. Our training corpus grows continuously as our flywheel turns — more speakers, better models, wider reach.
